Burke Griffin an outstanding Sports
Anchor at the CBS affiliate, WFRV-TV in Green Bay, checks in at the Round Table.
Burke gives us a hands-on look at the Packers as Greg and Burke cover a lot of ground in this show. Below you’ll find a few of the highlights...

BRANDON JACKSON and the RB SITUATION
1) Don't worry about his blocking skills, that's not why GB has him in the
lineup.
2) He's taking all the reps. He's the guy for now in Green Bay.
3) Good inside runner with some speed. He has shown good burst at camp.
4) Vernand Morency (knee) must show he can stay healthy to "steal"
away carries. The other rookie RB, DeShawn Wynn returned to practice on Sunday
after missing several week.
Update: after the interview, at practice Sunday...
rookie Brandon Jackson went down hard after a collision with another player during a 2-minute drill.
He was unable to finish practice. Jackson, according to other players, suffered a blow to the head that most
thought wasn't serious. If he has suffered a concussion, his status for the exhibition finale is in question.
With Jackson out, the only healthy running backs Sunday 8/26 were veteran Noah Herron, rookie free agent
Corey White and seventh-round pick DeShawn Wynn. Veteran Vernand Morency still hasn't practiced.
TIGHT ENDS at GREEN BAY
Bubba Franks could see more time as a blocker, but Donald Lee is
going to have more work downfield. Both remain FF long shots this year. League
wide, the TE spot is stacked this year.
ROOKIE WR JAMES JONES
1) In some ways, he now leapfrogs Greg Jennings as the Packers #2.
2) He seems very grounded, as Burke talked with him at length.
DONALD DRIVER
The team is staying quite about Driver. But his ability to come back from injury
is uncanny. He's in great shape and the foot injury may not hold him back for
very long.
BRETT FAVRE
He's looked as good as always this year at camp. Farve is eyeing some all-time
QB records and if the Packers are playing from behind, he could be undervalued
this year for Fantasy.
IDP NOTES
1) A.J. Hawk and Nick Barnett remain the tackling machines.
2) Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (KGB) could create more sacks this year, being even more
rested and focused as 3rd down pass rusher.
3) DE Cullen Jenkins is Burke's IDP Sleeper.
