we are ready to pour the concrete for our basement floor but have discovered an area of about 20x20 feet where there is frost in the gravel. We have had an electric furnace going the past week or so but cannot get the frost out. The rest of the basement is frost free as we have been able to do the roughed in plumbing and drains. People have suggested salamander heaters and kerosene heaters but we are not sure how to use these. Our house is a bungalow with a walk-out on two sides.
Answer:
The heaters come with instructions and you must follow them to the letter if the partially built house is to survive to occupancy.
