Question:

I am a member of a cooperative housing unit. In certain areas of my home I have significant drafts causing some rooms to stay on average 8 to 10 degrees lower than what I set my thermostat at i.e. recently I could not get two rooms above 13.4 degrees C when my thermostat was at 22 degrees. Is my landlord (cooperative housing) responsible for remediation of such a problem? If you need further details I would be happy to provide them.

Answer:

I have no idea what jurisdiction you live in and by-laws differ from one to another. In most cases that I've heard of, the landlord is responsible for keeping the furnace in good repair.
