Question:

This past weekend I installed the basement humidity reduction fan and duct work as you suggested. I have it set to run from 9pm to 9am. I am wondering as to what time of year I should turn this on? I would also like to know if I am correct with the time settings. Finally, if i understand you correctly I close the windows during the day and open them at night. Right?

Answer:

Like the furnace, you never shut the thing off. Your time sittings are right and I don't necessarily open windows to accommodate it at any time.
