Question:

Suddenly two weeks ago, our lips and throats were dry and we cough a bit. The air conditioner had been working all day. And now we seem to have high relative humidity (between 60 and 75%). Could a leak in the air conditioner be the cause or anywhere else? We bought a dehumidifier and it's been working for a day now. The reading on the dehumidifier is now 65%. What should I do?

Answer:

There has to be a leak somewhere. Have the furnace checked and the same people should be able to track down exactly what it is.
