I am planning to close in the sides,insulate,and heat an existing covered deck with an open crawl space under it. Please advise the best way to insulate under the deck floor and the ceiling. Thank you - John

The best way to make sure the floor space is well insulated is to use a product call Icynene. It is a spray in place foam which creates an effective air seal plus it great insulating capabilities. Icynene would be sprayed to the underside of the floor in between the joist spaces, no drop ceiling would be need, where with fiberglass you would.
