I had asked about putting a steel roof on our mobile home over original aluminum roof and put 1 inch styrafoam inbetween th strapping. Your answer was that it would cause condensation and corrosion. You suggested upgrading attic insulation and ventilation both soffit and upper attic. Our mobile home is a 1972 and has a curved roof not a peaked roof. There is very little space between ceilings and roof and there are no soffits, the only ventilation there is is at each end just below the roof. The roof and the walls are even with no over hang. We where wondering if the answer is still no.
Answer:
The answer remains the same but when you remove the existing roof covering, you'll have access to the little bit of attic and can, at the same time, provide soffit and upper attic ventilation.
