I need some help in removing stubborn wallpaper adhesive. When putting a border up some years ago, I used extra heavy adhesive. Now upon removal of the border, I am having a terrible time removing this extra glue. I have washed it with TSP, tried sanding it, used a citrus based remover, and nothing will touch it. I am afraid I won't be able to paint over the area which had been covered by the border. Do you have any suggestions? A heat gun perhaps?
Answer:
The only things I've used for this have been wallpaper removing compound and hot, hot water and they both worked.
