Question:

I am planning on installing 12" x 12" Ceramic Floor Tile on the walls around my bathtub. I will be using cement backer board, but I am wondering if I should use a Mastic type ceramic wall glue, or the cement mortar type adhesive. I know that if I use the Mastic type glue that I need to use the smooth side of the Cement Board, and the rough side of the cement board if I use the Mortar type adhesive. Which adhesion method would you recommend?

Answer:

Particularly on a wall, One will serve as well as the other.
