Question:

I would like to paint our bath tub surround, It is acrylic with a slight rough finish. There is no silicone on it. Could you please let me know a procedure to paint it.

Answer:

Buy the paint first and then follow instructions on the can to determine what kind of an undercoat (base coat, primer, etc.) needs to go under it. The next step is to follow the instructions on the undercoat can to prepare the tub enclosure for it. It's called working backward and I'm told I do a lot of that!
