Question:

Our 2 year old house has a 1 millimeter crack running down from the corner of the basement window to the floor. Rain driven against the foundation wall enters the basement along this crack. The house is no longer covered for water infiltration by the ONHWP. The foundation is wrapped with a heavy black plastic membrane. How can we repair this?

Answer:

I thought the warranty on the foundation was five years but if you're stuck with it, repairing a foundation wall crack, provided it is a simple crack and the drainage tiles are in good condition, can be as simple as applying a fibreglass patch kit to your car. The product is cheap, instructions with it are great and its easy to use. The most important thing is to work always with squeaky clean surfaces. Once applied, you can tar-parge over the patch and backfill.
