On a recent Mr. Fix-It program on CFRA, I thought you had mentioned that railway ties could be painted. When I went to my local paint shop, the veteran salesman said he did not know of any paint that I could use on old dirty railway ties and to leave them as is. Can you help? Did I hear right and what kind of paint do I need.
Answer:
A 100% acrylic product paints asphalt on our highways and I cannot imagine it not adhering to the creosote soaked ties.
