I live in Bright's Grove near Sarnia, Ontario. I listen to your show on CHOK (Sarnia), and seldom miss it. Thanks for all your tips. I have in common with many of your listeners, the problem with the white resin patio furniture; over the years it turns a black-moldy -mildew colour. I've tried various products to clean and refurbish it so I decided to try painting it. After a very thorough cleaning and drying, I spray painted my outdoor patio furniture with an indoor/outdoor paint which was the same colour as the furniture (white). It took several light coats, and that's the best way to spray paint anyway. My whole set looks just like new again. It has been a month since I did it, and so far the black hasn't come through. If it does I'll just do the spray painting again. Please use my tip, if you wish; it's the best solution I've come up with. Why didn't I think of it before?
Answer:
You must have hit the right paint and the right kind of furniture because others who have tried painting these things haven't enjoyed success. Thanks for the hint!
