Question:

We are considering buying a house with insulbrick siding. What is it, why is it considered a bad choice of siding and how costly/ difficult would it be to remove and replace it?

Answer:

This is a product that is not used a whole lot partly since technologists pointed out that it is like having rolled roofing on the outside of your home and that besides that, it can serve as vapour barrier on the wrong side of insulation. It is also quite flammable so your first question about it should go to your insurance broker.
