Question:

I am still unclear as to whether or not it is ever possible to build a backyard skating rink over weeping beds in the winter. Are there certain precautions that can be taken so as not to damage your beds.

Answer:

I wouldn't do it because if there is no snow over the bed, there is no insulation and you can count on the bed freezing. That means no flushing until about June.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
