I have a wood floor in Living/dining Rm. I am doing some decorating and when I was painting the baseboard along one wall, I noticed the narrow strip of floor board next to the shoe mold had shrunk and was pulling away from the wall, creating a gap of about 1/8". Can you tell me what I should do to repair the area and have it fit tight again.
Answer:
Just fill in the gap with white latex caulking compound and paint.
