Question:

I have a fibre glass garage door installed in 1969. It originally was white but is now yellowish with black specks. Can it be successfully painted white? If yes, how does it need to be prepared and what kind of paint should I use?

Answer:

You'll first have to rough up the surface with steel wool and varsol. Now you can paint it but follow the instructions on the paint can as to the parameters within which you must stay with 100% acrylic paint.
