Question:

I am purchasing an apartment condo. built in 1975. I want to rent it for a couple of years before making major renovations when I would move in myself. The bathroom tiles are in good condition but very tired looking. I am looking for a low cost approach to improving their appearance that will last for 3-4 years. Can I paint them? What products and procedure should I use?

Answer:

They can be painted and like all other delicate surfaces, you should buy the paint first and then follow the instructions on the container to determine what kind of base paint you need. The base paint container may also have instructions as to how to prepare the surface.
