Question:

We have hardwood floors in our house but they've been quite badly finished. The varnish comes off and sticks to the bottom of your feet if you have bare feet. They've been like this since we moved in. I have carpet in my bedroom but would really like to take it out but the thought of refinishing the floors seems daunting. I heard from someone that there was a product now available that when applied gives the same affect as refinishing but without all the hard work. Does such a product exist and if so what is it? If not, what do you suggest doing?

Thanks :)Amy

Answer:

If it exists, the manufacturer is about to become a millionare but I don't think it exists. Your best bet is to have the floor professionally sanded, sealed and re-finished.
