Question:

I'm a big fan and I'm hoping that you can help me out. What do you suggest that I use to remove paint from exterior brick. The brick is about 80 years old and it was painted, in one area, where a porch once existed. I want to be careful not to harm the brick and mortar. Also, over the years, paint has accumulated around windows from poor frame paint jobs. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:

There is a biodegradable paint stripper you can get from your local paint store - not everything store. It will remove the paint but that will make that part of the wall a bit different in colour from the rest so you may end up cleaning the whole thing.
