Top > Paint > Deck

Question:

We have just installed 1 x 6 inch treated deck boards and would like to know how to best protect, finish, paint, stain the deck floor boards.

Answer:

Leave them alone. You will add nothing to the deck's life if the wood has already been treated but if you apply anything to it, you will have given yourself an annual paint job because the traffic area will still wear and if you paint only that portion, the rest will look yucky.
