Question:

Recently the pipes from the toilet down through the
house to the basement started leaking. They were copper pipes, and the plumber has now replaced them with plastic and they aren't leaking anymore, thank God. However, the smell in one cupboard and the closet where
there is a large foot and a half gap, until everything is dried out is very noticable I was wondering if there is more I can do to help get rid of the odor. Would setting a fan in the closet help? Or is there a spray
of some sort that could be used?

Answer:

Ask your paint supplier for a product used after a fire has gone through a building. It will probably be an aluminum paint or some such but painting over the offending area will do away witht the odour.
