I have installed hardwood stairs made out of oak. I would like to know how to go about finishing the stairs before proceeding to the finishing part of it. I am going to be using a clear coat finish--urethane.

Follow the instructions on the container and you can't go wrong. All kinds of people have all kinds of suggestions but none can equal that of the product manufacturer.
