We bought a house about 9 months ago and have noticed that some cracks that were present in the plasterwork when we bought the house are gradually getting worse.
Answer:
It is probably exactly that - settling of the addition but that will be all but complete in about 3 to 4 years so you shouldn't have to worry much about it. What is more interesting is whether there was any mention of this in the "Statement of Disclosures" when you bought the house. Your lawyer might want to get invovled if it wasn't.
