I have a century old home which has been wallpapered. When you take the wallpaper off( it's pretty much falling off) I notice that it is just the drywall underneath with no paper over top like you see on drywall today. I don't want to paper, so I'm wondering how to prepare the drywall for painting
Answer:
First you'll have to make sure its drywall you're dealing with and not plaster of paris. If it is the latter, you'll have to clean it off very well and then prime and paint.
