We are having trouble painting a textured ceiling - applied 4-5 coats of paint, still looks dirty and streaky. What are we doing wrong?
Answer:
The texture appears to have been smoke and/or grease stained before you started paint it. You may still have a problem but I think I'd try using a good primer and then painting it yet again.
