Question:

I had my new homes ceilings finished in orange peel texture. When I went to see the finished ceilings, I was very dissappointed. There are LOTS of long smooth trowel marks and gouge marks from the points of the trowel. I would like to know if my ceilings can be properly repaired without detection from the rest of the orange peel ceilings?

Answer:

You'll have to remove what's there or apply new texture thick enough to cover it.
