Question:

House is about 30 years old and lately "blisters" in the wall are showing where the drywall screws or nails are. In other words, they are "popping-out". Not enough to break through the paint but enough to see. Why does this happen & what can I do about it?

Answer:

To fix it, you simply drive them back in again and then patch the hammer track. This could be happening because condensation has formed inside the wall cavity and if you see it happening more as time goes on, you should expect not to get rid of the blisters without first removing drywall, vapour barrier and insulation and re-doing all of it.
