Question:

I own a home on Osgoode, Ontario I am on a well and septic of course. It seems that every time I flush my toilet I get a gush of air that comes up (bubbles) before the water actually goes down. I guess its air in the system somewhere, I don't know. I thought it may have been clogged but I used a toilet auger, plunger etc., but with no luck.

Answer:

That seems to be a built-in feature of new toilets and it doesn't do any harm; at least I haven't noticed any. Unfortunately, neither am I in a position to give you a scientific reason for it.
