Question:

We had our two upstairs bathrooms completely renovated 6 years ago, at the same time. Since they are back-to-back, some of the drains (and feeds) may be common to both. Recently, water began dripping through the kitchen ceiling below these bathrooms and I have tried to isolate from which of the two showers, two toilets, and two sinks the leak might come from. I thought I had the problem isolated to either the sink or shower of the ensuite bathroom until the leak began again as we drained the tub of the main bathroom following the tub having been half filled for a bath.

Answer:

The sink in the in-suite should be easy to track but by the sound of it, your problem is either under the tub or in the wall cavity - the latter is the more likely of the two. This means opening up the wall on the most accessible side and looking for damp spots. If everything is dry, then you're into opening the ceiling below.
