Question:

We would like to install a tin roof to a small building. Could you please tell us something about the installation? Presently there are shingles on a wood roof. We were thinking of removing the shingles. Do we require any other preparation? The measurements of this building is no more than 14/14.

Answer:

Because different tin roof manufacturers have different requirements, you'll be better off to go to your supplier and get directions from there. Some permit you to leave the old shingles on while others insist you remove them, some need strapping under the sheets while some may insist of sheathing, etc. They are all good and serve better than conventional products provided they're installed right.
