Question:

We have a newly poured concrete 40 feet by 50 feet garage floor. We would like to seal it with your recommended linseed oil and varsol mixture. What is the waiting period before this procedure can be done and is there any etching with acid that needs to be applied before hand. How much of each boiled linseed oil and varsol are needed to cover this size of cement flooring? How long does it take to dry?

Answer:

You'll have to wait until it's been there for at least six months but then you can do it no matter what the season. You'll probably need a gallon of each and it will take at least three days and perhaps longer to dry; depending on the season. As far as preparation goes, there is none.
