My frontstep is part of my cold cellar.When it rains or smows it leaks into my basement and causes water damage in my basement. What can I put on this or what can I do to temporily fix this problem until the spring.

You can try a good caulking compound but I think you'll be dealing with the leak until the spring no matter what you do.
