Question:

Do you have any tips on how to locate the spot(s) that mice are using to get into my house? The house is 5 yrs old, wood frame ranch with daylite basement with concrete walls half way around basement, on concrete slab, in the country with cedar siding. It is well sealed, close to R2000 construction.
Have searched for any small (1/4")openings without luck. House is large (3000ft) so lots of perimeter.

Answer:

Try the transition from concrete foundation walls to structure. This is a very common area for gaps large enough to drive small trucks through. Your heat loss in this area is substantial.
