Question:

Part of the ceiling in my kitchen recently got sprayed with mud (it's a long story). Any suggestions how I can clean the stipple?

Answer:

Air pressure will be about the only thing you can apply without damaging the texture and you'll even have to do that with extreme care. On the other than, if the texture was not mixed with paint when it was originally apply, air pressure will quickly remove the texture and leave the mud stain where it is. You may well be into a paint job, first with a stain deadener and then a primer and finaly, with paint.
