I recently purchased a home. There is a small area where water damaged occurred to the floor. The hardwood is modern pre-finished material. What can I apply to the gray exposed areas to bring the colour back and what should I be using to re-seal the area.

You can try using wood bleach on it and then finishing it the same as the rest of the floor. There are good wood washes on the market too and you'll find them at your paint store.
