Our family is in disagreement about whether or not it is necessary to remove the snow from our cottage roof. We live in Thunder Bay Ontario. Is it necessary to remove the snow from the roof. What are the risks other than safety issues?
Answer:
If you have trusss in the attic you can leave several feet of snow load up there but if you have rafters, you might want to leave no more than a couple of feet. No project nor any phase of it takes priority over safety.
