Question:

I'd appreciate some advise on running an electrical circuit to my exterior shed from my electrical panel in my home. The length is about 100 feet. I plan on passing the wire through the area that the wire for my cooling system passes through the foundation. Among other things should I use 14/2 or 12/2 wire. Should I shield the wire in tubing or bury it directly.

Answer:

You'll be using at least 12/2 because of the distance and when you apply for the permit (a must) they'll tell you exactly how you'll go about protecting it.
