I thought I read something about a new type of flooring for the attic that was like an open grid so you could still get at wiring etc. under the floor but I can not seem to find it in any of my web searches. Do you know what this product is? We just want to use the attic for storage so it does not have to be anything fancy.
Answer:
Any laid-in flooring will permit you that as long as you don't nail it down. Try sheets of 5/8" const. grade plywood held with a robertson screw at each end and apnning a series of attic floor joists. To get them into the attic, you can cut the shets into strips only wide enough to go up through the hatch.
