Question:

I'm in the process of converting a two-story tree-house to a single-story shed. My son, in charge of demolition, got carried away and now all I'm left with is 4 posts cemented into the ground. I want this shed to have a concrete floor. Should I put in the floor before the roof or does it really matter? My son says "floor first". I say it doesn't matter, that we could work on the roof first. Obviously we need an unbiased opinion.

Answer:

I have to go along with the roof first so that when you get to the floor, and if you happen to have a rain, the floor is protected. This is called "weathering in" so you might also consider the walls.
