Question:

Picture this: 8x8 tile on approx. 1 inch of plaster/concrete on metal lathe on more plaster/concrete (approx. 1/2 inch) on 1/2 inch wallboard. How do I demolish this without wrecking the other sides of the walls (which happen to be my kitchen and the boy's bedroom)? I don't want to use a sledgehammer. I have tried a super blade. No good. Will a diamond saw blade on a circular saw work?

Answer:

You'll have to make a hole somewhere and then go to work with a 3' goose neck type pry bar. Anything else will almost certainly wreck the other side. Have you considered just drywalling over it or do you want the wall right out of there?
