My home is almost 10yrs old and we have lived in it for almost 3yrs. We have had 2 leaks in the basement in the last 6 monts,we have replaced one carpet and tring to save the 2nd. It never leaked before. Only with the last 2 storms we got 4-8 inches in a short period of time. What can I do to protect my home? Could the newly paved drive way have something to do with it?
Answer:
If that's the side its leaking on, the equipment used in the process of paving may have been operated by a novice tradesman or perhaps too heavy to be used at all. You may have to address this from the outside but a close inspection of the interior should tell you how serious it is.
