I had to have my sewer line replaced from the house to the city connection (it stopped flushing properly, and I could handle the two logs with the board to sit on to do the required function. I have had no problem, but my wife kept falling over backwards, so I just had to get it fixed!) Now, when is the best time of year to reseed the lawn, I will need some topsoil for sure. One landscape gardener told me, reseed in August? I am perplexed because I thought the fall was always the best time.
Answer:
August is near enough to the fall to take advantage of prime seeding time but you'll have enough time between now and then to actually have the seeds germinate and perhaps even have part of a lawn going. Just make sure you give the area a top dressing of soil after seeding. I'm not a horticulturist but this is something I've done before and it seems to have worked.
