Gas fireplace was originaly installed without a room (wall thermostat),we have since had one installed but this year when the fireplace comes on and heats up the fan does not come on. Yes I have checked to make sure the fan is in the on position. I can make come on manually but it will not not function automatically on its own. Any ideas?

You might want to check the thermostat wiring and if it's good, you might have to change the thermostat itself.
