Question:

In the winter we have some mice who like to come in for shelter. I'm sure I need to shut down all the spaces where they can get in, but what should I use to do this caulk and fiberglass? What else can I do to prevent the intruders from getting in?

Answer:

As far as you winter guests go, they come and go through as little as a quarter-inch hole and they'll chew through just about everything to get in. I use steel wool to plug the holes and that keeps them out. Pay close attention to crawl space accessibility for them.
