I got a fantastic deal on 4 hand-carved oak stools to use at my island counter. It was only when I got them home that I realized they are counter height (6" short of my bar height nook!) Please tell me there's some attachment I can add to the carved legs to gain the difference. I don't want to replace the legs as they're integrated into the swivel which I love.

You may be tinkering with the safety of the stools but I know that a good cabinet maker can make extensions for you and they'd not ruin the aesthetics of the chairs.
