Question:

I will be buying a new oil hot water tank in the next year. Right now I get so much sediment from the tank that I usuall cant take a decent bath. The company said I should have had a filter of some sort installed in the tank because I am on well water and its the minerals causing the problem. However, the guy who maintains the tank every year says its a waste of money and I should just get a new tank at the end of my lease and drain it once a month.

Answer:

If your tank is a lease, just ask them to replace or clean it when water starts to discolour. There is no reason you should have to put up with that sort of thing.
