I have a black plastic pipe between the basement joists that drains from the kitchen sink and is leaking at an elbow joint.It does'nt appear to ever been glued and it's in a tough spot to try and glue now. Is there something I can put on the outter lip to seal the two ends together?

You might try adding a thicker bead of the glue to it but that may not last long. In some cases I've tried this it has lasted very well and in others - - - -.
