Can dry wall be installed directly on an inside basement wall. Many years ago this was an outside basement wall but an addition was added and it then became an inside basement wall. If this can be done, can it be glued on.

Yes it can as long its not a perimeter wall and yes, you can glue it. Be careful here though because in many jurisdictions (Ontario is one I think) when you do the electricity portion of finishing, you have to have a duplex electrical outlet every twelve feet.
Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
