Question:

Some time ago you were discussing ways to remove foam backed carpet. A caller said he used steel wool attached to something. Do you
rember what that something was? Varsol will destroy the foam but is messy. I would rather skim it off. If you answer on air, could you do so when I am listening?

Answer:

The only thing I've ever suggested for this is a 3" putty knife with wallpaper removing compound ahead of it.
